Cutting Attachment to Drive Shaft Installation

Saw Chain is sharp! Always wear gloves when handling assembly, otherwise serious personal injury

may result

1. Loosen the two (2) screws (A) and remove locator screw (B)

on cutting attachment.

2. Slide the cutting attachment onto the shaft housing until the

hole in the neck of the cutting attachment is aligned with the

hole (C) in the housing. (It may be necessary to rotate the

saw chain slightly to align the internal pinion and drive

shaft.).

3. Insert locator screw (B) into hole (C) and tighten to snug.

4. Tighten bolts (A), clamping the cutting attachment onto the

housing.

Drive Shaft/Power Head

1. Stand power head upright on a level surface.

2. Loosen the drive shaft clamp bolt (A) at engine drive shaft

clamp.

3. Remove dust cap if necessary, and carefully fit drive shaft

assembly to engine making sure that inner drive shaft

engages into clutch mount.

Note: Gear Housing must be aligned properly with engine.

4. Tighten drive shaft clamp bolt (A) securely.

5. Route throttle linkage and ignition lead assembly below fan

housing.
