WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD

CAUTION

Make sure the bar and chain are free from

any obstruction when starting the chain saw.

s Press the decompression device.

s Pull choke control knob all the way out.

(Choke position )

s 3ECURELYHOLDTHECHAINSAWASSHOWNAND

pull starter handle several times until ﬁrst ﬁring

sound.

s Push choke control knob all the way in.

s Press the decompression device and pull starter

handle again to start the engine.

s 7HENENGINESTARTSIMMEDIATELYSQUEEZEAND

release throttle trigger for disengaging throttle

latch and returning engine to idle, and pull front

hand guard towards the operator immediately.

(Chain brake unlocked position)
